I stumbled across Street Stickers today when I was looking for a supplier. The gallery is a labour of love, these photos are quite a lively record of all the stickers that get stuck around town. Then I remembered that Imakethings got an email saying his sticker had been spotted. I just love the range of artwork, and sometimes you don’t even know what the sticker means…but who cares@!

Trip to Liss
Over 35 miles with Neil to see a hockey match in Liss. When we got there, the game was over and we trundled home. I almost got up Buriton hill in one go, I know that when I finally manage to climb it without getting off, I’ll have made good progress. I should mention that Neil didn’t have any trouble, and spent a few minutes at the top waiting for me to catch up.
Oh, I’ve entered the London to Brighton and I’m waiting to hear if I’ve got in. Apparently there are only 27,000 places and most of them have gone by the end of March. I’m going to put a sponsor form on the web and on the notice boards at work, and maybe get a bit of dosh together.
Italian Holiday House
Spellbound

On Sunday Sharon and I went to see Spellbound, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Its funny that this is the second documentary we’ve seen at the flicks in as many outings. see below. Here it may not be life and death, but it sure feels like it. We follow eight kids as they battle through the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. As I saw the kids they kind of reminded me of Martin in The Simpsons ( I wondered how long it would be before the show got a mention).
Both of the documentaries are part of The Director’s Chair which shows films that aren’t mainstream. Its a good idea, except the films aren’t really publicised, except in the local paper. There were quite a few people at Spellbound, and even more at Touching the Void. I know if feels like these films get marginalised, but at least they’re shown.
Getting to work on time…

It’s nice to think Lance has one of these in the garage. Its a thing of beauty, a folding trek bike with Bontrager wheels, 9 speed, cromo forks…mmm. Unfortunately it cost £450. Maybe I’ll get one to ride when I finally get rid of the car, wouldn’t that be great. Having said that, my little 106 passed the MOT first time today, and its been really easy. It would be a nice ambition to cut down on car travel, it all depends on work, trains etc.
Imakethings would love this site with lots of pictures of ROBOTS
Talking of Freaks, Alex Winter of Bill and Ted’s fame made a great film called “Freaks” which sort of reworked the orginal. This a huge fansite, with loads of information – I couldn’t believe how many adverts he’s made, including the Pringles ad with the dog
Jojo in the stars

Jojo in the stars is an animation by Marc Craste. It recently won a Bafta for best animated short. Everything I’ve seen so far, including this interview at AnimWatch is great. There’s a kind of Eraserhead mood about it, and in the plot, there are echoes of Freaks which as is a great film made in 1932 about the characters in a circus troupe. Jojo is beautifully lit and the images are tender but a little scary. As soon as there’s a screening, we’ll get tickets.
dirty html cheat
I don’t know any html, and if it hadn’t been for this cheatsheet at Webmonkey, then I wouldn’t even know how to link to it. So this might be helpful to Chris, but it doesn’t look like he needs my help. i should also mention the greatness that is BBedit, if you can use this program well, then you can call yourself a full on web designery thingy ( I bet I’m getting into deep water with this post – oh well comments on – go for it)
