13th Chichester Film Festival
Chichester Film Festival is now in its 13th Year and still going strong. There’s a good programme, and we’re already booked for Super Size Me, Inside I’m Dancing, Coffee and Cigarettes which is a new film by Jim Jarmusch, and The Corporation. There’s a Q&A session with Kerry Fox following An Angel at My Table, which is a beautiful and stunning film.
Kid Robot
Where are you all?, oh you’re at the Kid Robot Discussion Board, sorry.
Gary Wilson
I read about this man, who was lost, and then found as his music filtered through the speakers in his absence. He pressed only 600 copies of his first album You Think You Really Know Me by Gary Wilson & the Blind Dates and broke most of them over his head at one of his gigs. There’s a good article at The Village Voice and Gary himself has a great website called sixpointfour which is one of his songs, you can have a listen to it here. If you can spot the quote, then you get a cake.
Books and spaces
There seems to be lots to read out there at the moment and to add to those in my typelist, I’ve been looking at THE TYPOGRAPHIC EXPERIMENT by Teal Triggs which comes from Magma which is a great source of design books. Just started You Shall know our Velocity by Dave Eggers I have to say that A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius is fast becoming one of my all time favourite books. I am pleased to say that I’ve ordered Out by Natsuo Kirino Kirino is the queen of Japanese horror writing, and since we all enjoyed The Ring, we know that Japanese horror doesn’t pull its punches.

It feels like a new year…in september
I haven’t posted since the tour finished, and I’ve been working and going on holiday, and now I’m back and notice some new links.imakethings has had a redesign, and may soon be guest editing dotsandspaces. There’s plenty I’ve noticed on other people’s sites, and maybe some pictures of some new work. I’ve been reading new books and even got a bit of writing done. Promises are easily broken, but not here on dots and spaces. Plenty to say and plenty to be reading in the next couple of weeks. Any questions?
