Death of Primer

I thought it had only just begun…nevermind eh? There’s a flyer here, but I’m not sure when it ends. Anyway, I heard it was all a huge success. If you want to get in touch with any of the artists involved, then the website is still up and running over hear. Well done everyone, now when are you going to get cracking with the dotsandspaces commission?

for the second time

So I’ve decided to have another go and get trim in time for the big day…and I just recieved my rider number and everything I’ll need for the trip. This time we’ll be starting early at 8.00am and hopefullly we should have a clearer run and shouldn’t have to stop for jams.

The great thing is that the clocks go forward on Sunday and I can start training in the evenings and not just wait until the weekend. With the recent move, I’ve got a chance to find some new loops, and I really enjoy the trip over to Gunwharf on the ferry, crossing water with a bike in tow is a special feeling.

So hit the image above to visit my new bhf page and give lots.

On another note, I see the big guy might be off for number seven and after a muted start at Paris-Nice is back in training

On writing…

Noticed that I’m not the only one having difficulty keeping up to date with news, and since the new year’s V.2 shakeup I’ve been a bit starved of things to write about. Obviously its a busy year, with the new house and ‘the big day’, and I haven’t had any time to breath. However, I’m feeling quite inspired by this list of 10 tips for writing online. I particularly like the bit about nurturing new friends and it leads me to acknoledge all the new people I’ve corresponded with via dotsandspaces. I’ve met some very interesting peeps and hope this continues. In the meantime, I hope you all like the picture of the house, it is a bit of a mess inside, lots of boxes everywhere that make the place look like the final scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. It will all be ok someday…

Just a quick mention of congratulations to imakethings who had a exhibition and flogged lots of paintings – to quote Akira…it has only just begun.

What it says on the label

Drawerlabels

I was just making some labels for Andrew’s room and I thought they looked quite fun. I’ve been so tired lately and just wanted to do something cheery. I remember seeing that film of Talking Heads in concert and they had big images on the back screen that looked like this, except they said things like “think” and “modern” and “money”. It also reminds me when me and my friend Andy (another one) spent an entire night labelling everything in a small hallway, and it took chairs on top of tables and a broom handle to add a small sticker with “Ceiling” written on it to the ceiling. I don’t recall why we did that.

ok, this is my chance to mention the excellent Luaka Bop record label which is run by David Byrne.
